Here at Ella Doran Interiors we have declared a CLIMATE EMERGENCY with our community at Interior Design Declares and we have signed the CEE Bill (Climate and Ecological emergency bill) led by Caroline Lucas . Our company owner Ella Doran has been advocating and educating about the circular economy for well over a decade.

We’ve looked to the UN Goals for guidance, which is a set of goals for businesses and entities to work together to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.

  Ella Doran

Here at Ella Doran Interiors we are focussing on the goals where we can actively make changes or have already done so. Below is our detailed breakdown of them

GOAL 4 HELP EDUCATE THE CHILDREN IN YOUR COMMUNITY

We have run an internship programme and our founder has regularly held, workshops, and given talks in schools around the country sharing her creative story and helping School children consider a career in the Creative Industries.

GOAL 6 AVOID WASTING WATER

We actively support Surfers Against Sewage https://www.sas.org.uk/ with 10% of our sales from Ella's Clean Up Camo collection donated to them to support their work. Our print-to-order wallpapers do not use water in the manufacturing process, nor do our roller blinds or accessories collections as they use different forms of heat sublimation which eliminates any water usage and contamination in the process.

GOAL 8 DECENT WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH

Promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth employment and decent work for all. We pay the London Living wage.

GOAL 12: RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTION

If you buy from us on line, you will know we re-use our packaging as much as possible, and we encourage all of our customers to continue the chain and keep materials in use.
We strive to use materials that are long lasting and age well, along with sourcing materials that are already in their second life or third life when possible.
We offer a 'take back' service with our made to measure roller blinds, we will take back your old ones to ensure the components can be re-used or recycled. Please email us if you would like more information here.
We re-use all of our end-of-line fabrics and wallpapers for workshops & events, and when possible, we make new products.
If you would like to order any of our wallpaper or fabric offcuts, please email us at info@elladoran.co.uk

GOAL 13: CLIMATE ACTION

We are actively working with our suppliers to eliminate single use plastic, and to inspire all of our supply chains to work towards a circular economy.

GOAL 14: LIFE BELOW WATER

keeping waste plastic out of water we support SAS https://www.sas.org.uk/ we do not use single use plastic, and instead advocate and demonstrate how to work with polyesters in a circular economy through our Clean Up Camo collection in collaboration with Sophie Thomas.

GOAL 15: LIFE ON LAND

We donate to Tree Sisters with every roll of wallpaper sold, and we use Ecosia as our search engine in replacement for google 'The simplest way to plant trees and be climate active every day’
