Sheep to Seat Fleece to Floor, project
Sheep to Seat Fleece to Floor at Yorkshire Sculpture Park 2019
As a homage to local products, suppliers and processes, the exhibition highlighted the importance of the circular economy in reducing waste and sustaining livelihoods and traditions. It shone a light on one of the most versatile, sustainable, abundant, and undervalued of the UK’s agricultural products: wool.
It connected local agricultural heritage with contemporary design, reclaiming wool’s undervalued status through beautiful, functional products made with traceable, local materials sourced from the park and inspired by the park!
‘I loved working on this project with YSP, featuring the journey of British wool, culminating in my exhibition in Summer 2019. It celebrates the Park’s resources, its beauty, and the joy of creativity and collaboration.’
