'Hosted at the London Design Biennale in partnership with Makerversity, this one-day workshop will draw on the wealth of research, design practice and thought leadership on the circular economy, to explore opportunities for creative practitioners and businesses. The workshop will be led by Sophie Thomas, Designer and Founding Director of Thomas.Matthews.

The circular economy is a bold idea that has the potential to transform our relationship with materials. It describes how we can move from a linear model – where we “take, make and dispose” of materials – to design principles and business models that are regenerative and environmentally conscious.

As a major sector in the UK economy, with a turnover in excess of £80bn and employing 1.8 million people, the creative industries could play a significant role in driving change. Embedding circularity will reduce environmental damage, demonstrate leadership and contribute to behaviour change more widely across the economy.'

See you there, it should be a great day!
